OVEN & STOVE PROBLEMS

DOESN’T IGNITE

If an electric stove will not ignite, first be sure the appliance power cord is plugged in and all circuit breakers are on. You should check the pilot light on gas models. If the appliance is plugged in and the pilot light is burning in the oven, then some other part will need to be replaced. The reason for the issue might be an surface element, infinite switch, burner igniter or bake and broil element.

OVEN WON’T HEAT

A burner or stove with no heat will not do much good. Your oven won’t heat if there is a broken bake element or a malfunctioning oven sensor. Your burner does not fire up when an element is broken or the burner switch or terminal block do not work. We know how to repair these issues in under 1-2 hours after our arrival.

PROGRAM ISSUES

You can assume the control board on a stove is broken when the timer or program settings do not work. If that’s the case, we know how to repair control boards on Sears, GE, LG, Kenmore, KitchenAid and most other brands of ranges, stoves and ovens. We offer a warranty on all of the control boards and the manufacturer replacement parts we use for this stove repair service.

OVEN TEMPERATURE IS TOO HOT

You should have a hot oven. But not too hot! If the heat is out of control, it might be due to a problem with the sensor or thermostat. Our appliance technicians can identify the reason for the problem and fix it. Just be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of skin burns from the very high and unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER WILL NOT LIGHT

A common stove problem is times where an igniter will glow but it does not light. The cause is sometimes from either a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or temperature sensor. We can determine whether we can fix these parts or if we will have to replace the parts.

DOOR DOESN’T OPEN

Modern self-cleaning ovens are known to experience door issues often. The door does not open after the oven cleans itself. We inspect the door latch, thermostat and seal to figure out why the door doesn’t open and then complete the repair so we can correct the issue.
